Donate Your Unwanted Furniture
At Shrewsbury Furniture Scheme, every donation makes a real difference.
We work with local councils, housing associations, and community organisations to provide furniture and household essentials to people in a wide range of circumstances, from those moving into their first home to individuals and families on low incomes or or facing financial hardship.

Your unwanted furniture can help someone turn an empty space into a home.

How to Donate
We welcome donations of good-quality, reusable household items, soft furnishings, and homeware items.
We also accept fully working white goods such as fridges, freezers, and washing machines; small electrical items like lamps, kettles, and toasters; soft furnishings and home accessories including curtains, cushions, and rugs; as well as crockery, cutlery, and other kitchen essentials.
If you’re unsure whether an item can be donated, just send us a quick photo by email or WhatsApp and our team will be happy to advise.

We can arrange collection for larger items or you can drop them off at our warehouse during opening hours.
Why Your Donations Matter
Every table, chair, or sofa you give helps someone create comfort and stability in their home.
Your generosity not only supports local people but also reduces waste by keeping usable furniture out of landfill; making a positive impact on both our community and the environment.

Shrewsbury Furniture Scheme Select (our High Street charity shop) is open to the public Monday to Saturday, offering great-value furniture, soft furnishings, and homewares.
Whether you’re shopping sustainably or donating pre-loved pieces, you’re helping us continue our vital work across Shropshire.

Our warehouse is at the heart of our charity, where we manage collections, process donations, and distribute essential items to families and individuals in need.
Opening it up to the public has helped us sustain and expand our community work and every donation helps us do more.
